A professional clean makes concrete look close to new. But bare concrete is porous, so oil, moss, leaf tannins and tyre marks start soaking back in from day one. Sealing locks in the result, makes the next clean much easier and adds years to the surface.
There are two families of sealer. A penetrating natural finish soaks in and protects from within, with little to no change to the look or grip. An enhanced finish, in satin or gloss, deepens the colour and adds an easy-clean, stain-resistant coat. Every job starts with a full clean, and enhanced finishes get a test patch we check with you after 24 hours.

It depends on the size and condition of the concrete and the finish you choose, so every job is quoted individually. You get one fixed price for the clean and seal together. A minimum job fee applies.
Always. Sealing over dirt, oil or growth locks it in permanently. Every sealing job starts with a full clean, quoted together as one job.

Stain resistance depends more on the sealer we choose for your surface than on the level of shine, so we’ll recommend the right one in your quote.
Natural penetrating sealers typically last 5 to 10 years. Satin and gloss finishes wear with foot traffic, tyres and sun, so they typically need a refresh coat every 2 to 4 years to keep their colour and shine. We’ll show you a simple water test so you can tell when it’s time.
Allow 24 hours before walking on any finish. Natural can take cars after 48 hours. Satin and gloss need 7 days before driving or parking, and hot tyres on a fresh coat can leave marks. Keep it dry for the first day.
Natural sealers leave the grip much as it is. Satin and gloss finishes add a smooth coat that can be noticeably more slippery when wet. On steps, slopes, pool surrounds and shaded paths we’ll recommend natural, or mix an anti-slip grit into the enhanced finish, and we’ll note it in your quote. We don’t quote slip ratings unless a slip test is done on site.
Our sealing season runs from October to April, and summer and early autumn are the most reliable. Sealing needs clean, dry concrete, a dry forecast for at least a day, and mild temperatures, not cold mornings or hot afternoon sun. If the weather turns, we’ll move your booking. Spring and summer book out fast, so get in early.
We apply until the surface is fully saturated. Porous surfaces like sandstone, pavers and older concrete need two passes. Dense stone and newer concrete often need one. It’s the surface that decides, not a set rule.
Sealing makes stains much easier to clean, but sealers are stain resistant, not stain proof. Wipe up oil, fat and wine quickly. For driveways we’ll recommend a sealer chosen to resist oil.
Only with a compatible product. A natural sealer can’t go over an old satin or gloss coat, and the reverse causes peeling. We’ll check on site.
Usually at least 28 days, once it has cured and dried.
Sealing damp concrete traps moisture and can cause white, cloudy patches. We leave at least a full dry day after washing and check moisture before sealing.
